Dolphin Season Finale!

The Dolphins had an incredible season. After Saturday's 3rd place finish at Divisionals, NWB secured second place in Division E! Next season, we will be moving up to Division D to compete against some Division E rivals, as well as some new teams.

Division E didn’t see us coming on Saturday. The dolphins showed up decked out in camouflage and swam above their seed in many events, earning crucial points for the team. Our swimmers were all around the pool, cheering on their teammates the whole meet.

That evening, we had our swim banquet. It was great to get out of the rain and see each other outside of the pool. If you were unable to attend the banquet, we will leave your swimmer’s Paper Plate Award in their family folder on Friday. Please pick up your awards before the summer is over!

We would like to recognize this year’s award winners:

Age Group Awards

8&U Frances Gold & Oliver Domire

9-10 Hadley McAllister & Teddy Lee

11-12 Sadie Wells & Cullen Butler

13-14 Jordan Young & Ulysses Howell

15-18 Mia Brown & Jonah Cass

Sheila Wooters Most Improved Swimmer Award - Angelina Greenleaf, Clara Kagan & Nate Weiss

Jared Fribush Most Spirited Swimmer Award -Charlotte Hill

Geza Illes Award - Teddy McDonough

We ask that all Divisionals swimmers please return their wooden stakes to the swim team shed before the summer is over. Additionally, Divisionals ribbons will be available in family folders on Friday.

We have 2 more meets this season, All Star Relays and Individual All Stars. We have 6 relay teams and a handful of individual swimmers competing in these meets. If you are interested in attending these meets, they will take place at the Rockville Swim Center on Saturday 7/26 at 7:00am and Sunday 7/27 at 8:00am. More information can be found HERE.

We hope that everyone has a great rest of the summer and that we will see all swimmers next season. If your swimmer is interested in swimming more, there are great programs in the area ranging from stroke and turn, to competitive swimming.

Montgomery County Stroke and Turn

YMCA Piranhas

Machine Aquatics

All Star Aquatics

Lastly, a swimmer on one of our fellow Division E teams experienced a heartbreaking accident recently. Connecticut Belair has started a fundraiser for their swimmer and asked that we share it with the team. If you are able to donate, you can find the fundraiser HERE.

Thank you all for a great season,

Maddie, Caya & Teddy
