Charlotte, Mia & Pernille - $25 for a 30 minute lesson
Availability will be updated every two weeks on Sunday evenings and sent in the weekly recap email. If you have any questions, please contact a coach.
I have been swimming since I was a baby, beginning with swim lessons at the MLK Swim Center, which taught me the stroke fundamentals. During my 12 seasons swimming with the Dolphins, I took advantage of private lessons to get one-on-one coaching and improve my stroke technique. Now I hope to offer the same benefits to the new generation of Dolphins.
Over the years, I have swam at a variety of different competitive levels, including stroke and turn clinics, RMSC, Northwood High School and currently, Masters Swim with DC Aquatics Club. I specialize in freestyle, backstroke, starts and turns, but am excited to work with swimmers on all things swimming!
I looks forward to helping swimmers gain confidence in the water and improve their stroke technique. I welcome swimmers of all ages, including parents!

My name is Teddy McDonough. This summer is the last of my 14 years as a Dolphin, and my second as an assistant coach. I have swam at RMSC for 7 years now, and competed for the Montgomery Blair Blazers throughout my high school career. I love working with swimmers to break down their strokes and find ways to get an edge up on the competition, while also joking around and having fun! Much of the advice I give to my dolphins comes from advice I have been given from countless NWB, RMSC and high school coaches and teammates throughout the years.

Hi! I'm Charlotte Dedolph, one of the assistant coaches of the NWB swim team and my favorite place on earth is Northwest Branch Pool.
I am a rising senior at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School and have been a Dolphin for over 10 years. During that time, Northwest Branch has become much more than just a pool—it has been a place where I have made lifelong friends, developed leadership skills, and created countless memories. For the past few summers, I have also served as a group lessons instructor, pre team coach for 2 years and starting this year a main team coach, helping younger swimmers build confidence and improve their skills in the water.
In addition to summer swimming, I swam competitively with RMSC and ASA for a total of seven years. These experiences taught me the importance of technique, hard work, and having fun while competing. I also have been an in person swim coach with FINS for the past three years. I am excited to share what I have learned with the next generation of Dolphins and help swimmers continue to grow and enjoy the sport.
My specialities are mainly freestyle, butterfly, starts and turns. I look forward to working with swimmers, helping them gain confidence, improve their technique, and have fun in the water.

My name is Mia Brown. I started swimming at NWB when I was 3, starting with group and private lessons. I swam on the NWB swim team for 10 summers and spent some time doing stroke and turn clinics at MLK in the winter as well. This summer is my first year coaching the swim team, but I have 4 years of experience coaching group lessons and private lessons for the younger kids.
I specialize in building strong fundamentals especially with weaker strokes, but am also happy to work with swimmers on any skills they want to develop. My goal is to help swimmers gain confidence in their strokes and have some fun too! I am excited to work with swimmers of all ages and abilities.
